RAV30 Al-SiC can be formed just like other cast or wrought aluminum components, meaning it can be rolled into sheet and stamped or cast into complex shapes using any number of forming techniques (die casting, investment casting, sand or permanent mold casting, etc).
RAV30 has 20% improvement in CTE over copper with a 70% weight savings. Against titanium, it has equivalent Modulus with a lighter weight and has the same wear resistance as cast iron.
